TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR SUBSCRIPTIONS

By purchasing a subscription from Flour & Flowers  you are becoming part of a CSA. What is a CSA? CSA stands for Community Supported Agriculture in which you purchase a “share” of the flowers growing in the upcoming season. Without a community there would be no micro scale flower farm.

The subscription can be for you or a gift to someone else. Contact information will be necessary for communication purposes such as when the bouquets are starting, each week a sneak peek of what to expect, specials such as u-pick days, and more. We will require a first name, phone number, and e-mail. The primary form of communication used will be determined based on situation. If you are gifting a subscription a certificate will be available via email for you to print at home and provide to your recipient(s).

With you investing in our micro farm you are giving us a chance to invest in making the farm grow, allowing us to cultivate a successful season. Seeds, soil amendments, equipment, and supplies are all necessary to provide the community with beauty for your table, office, or gift to another.

A growing season is always unpredictable, no matter how much planning you do! Weather, bugs, diseases, wind, rain, or drought all impacts the final crop. There is a risk with each season, though steps are taken to provide a good harvest. Communication is key and if things are not going to plan, you will know as a “shareholder” of the flower crop.

The season start and end end date is fluid as you never truly know what Mother Nature has up her sleeve. Though we start seedlings indoors and keep them warm and healthy until the frost is past, it will depend on what takes off first in order to provide you with a bouquet. As the flower season starts, stems are small and improve throughout the season. To provide the worth of your subscription bouquets will vary in stems from week to week but always equate their worth.

You may choose from the following options:-Full season 12 weekly bouquets = $125 or biweekly bouquets (6) = $65. Pick up is free at the roadside stand, delivery will take place within a 10 mile radius of our location for an additional fee depending on the subscription you choose.

We will accept cash or Venmo for payment.

Once pick up or delivery begins please check your preferred method of contact for delivery dates on your expected weeks. We may also utilize social media to inform you of updates. We want to provide you with as much advance notice of when flowers are ready as possible. Flowers will stay the freshest within the first 24 hours of harvest, we ask that you pick them up within this timeframe. Pick up will be at our roadside stand. If you or a loved one does not pick up your bouquet within 24 hours of notification you will forfeit your bouquet for that week without replacement.

Deliveries will take place within 24 hours of harvest as well. Depending on the time spent in the garden, delivery will be porch drop off at night, early morning, or throughout the day to limit the flowers being in the heat of the day. Deliveries must be within a 10 mile radius of our location listed on our Facebook page.

Pick up flowers will be labeled with your name and in sleeves. Porch delivers will be in sleeves placed in a vessel containing water to survive until you are able to place them in a vase.

Flowers will last between 5-7 days. You can take steps to prolong the vase life of your bouquets. Cutting the stems on angle, changing the water every 2-3 days, removing spent blooms will all aid in vase life. Certain varieties may last shorter or longer. Some stems may have multiple blooms allowing for longer life once the spent blooms are removed from the stems. After receiving your bouquet, either via pick up or delivery, you are responsible for the toxicity,  life and quality of your flowers.

As the season continues certain varieties may produce more than others. Some may produce sooner or later. What is produced to use varies week by week, and month by month. There is no guarantee what flowers will be included.

There are no refunds or cancellations of the subscriptions. With notification, we can transfer your subscription to someone else who then will assume the terms and conditions of the subscription. In the case of extreme weather conditions or extreme drought your subscription will be refunded to you in the form of a gift certificate for the next season.

Thank you for your trust in us and we hope you enjoy your investment as much as we do in providing you beeautiful flowers!
